ANSWER: STAGE!!
Today’s buyer is fussier than ever. Unfortunately, they have no vision and expect a house to be “spic and span” and updated. It’s to the point where a paint color or wallpaper can be a deal breaker.
The purpose of staging is to create an impartial canvas where a buyer can see themselves living and is appealing to their taste. I am in my 18th year of real estate, and I can state unequivocally that staging is important and makes a big difference in how quickly a home sells and at what price it sells.
Staging is a service I offer as part of my marketing plan. It’s important to understand what a worthwhile project is and what is not. Coldwell Banker has rolled out a program exclusive to the company called Realvitalize. This program affords a seller funds up front for any necessary preparation and/or repair. The funds are paid back from the proceeds of the closing.
It’s a team effort, and together we can make it happen!
