Peapack-Gladstone
Welcome to Peapack-Gladstone
A small peaceful valley with a strong equestrian heritage
Peapack-Gladstone is a small and charming town located in a picturesque valley along the banks of the North Branch of the Raritan River in Somerset County. The town is surrounded by rolling hills, farms, and forests that create one of the most beautiful landscapes in New Jersey. Small in size, this intimate community has a population of fewer than 3,000 people.
It is rich in history and dates back to colonial times. In the 19th century, the town was a popular vacation destination for wealthy New Yorkers. Many of those historic homes and buildings still stand, including the United States Equestrian Team Headquarters. The towns location and beautiful landscapes have made it a natural destination for horse lovers.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping
Whether you are looking for a relaxing afternoon, a romantic evening, or a fun night out with friends, you will find it here. Foodies will love the abundance of local farm-to-table restaurants, with their fresh ingredients and ever changing and creative menus. You can indulge in delicious charcuterie, artisanal cheeses, house-made breads and home-grown fruits at Ninety Acres at Natirar. A stop at CocoLuxe Fine Pastries is a must! Be sure to arrive early before all of the almond croissants have gone. This is where you will find pretty much the entire town on the weekend mornings. Another local favorite is the Gladstone Tavern, the food is delicious. You are sure to run into a lot of your local friends here and as the Chef/owner comes out periodically from his bustling kitchen to say "hi" and to catch up with you for a moment before retreating back to the stove, you feel right at home. Some of the very best Italian dishes you will enjoy in the area all while dining outside on a beautiful terrace is at Cafe Azzurro. I highly recommend the eggplant rollatini......and everything else on the menu. Stroll Main Street to see all the cafes, small shops, boutiques and bakery. Wind up at the towns center in a beautiful park to sit, relax and enjoy being surrounded by all of its charm and beauty.
Things to Do
Families spend weekends hiking and biking through the nearby countryside, parks or forests, or picnicking in the town's parks and gardens. Some of the most beautiful trails are in the Natirar Park and at the Fairview Farm Wildlife Preserve, where the scenic views are breathtaking. The town boasts a strong equestrian culture and heritage, with frequent horse shows, events and racing. In fact, the town is also home to the annual Far Hills Meeting Race, one of the most famous steeplechase races in the country. You will find kids after school or on the weekends, riding their bikes with fishing poles on their backs on their way to local ponds, streams and river branches.
